1. power snatch - speed and power
2. overhead squat - find the bottom position
3. snatch balance - aggressively hit the bottom
4. high hang snatch - aggressive speed, transition and pull under the bar
A few sets here with light to moderate weight and then get cracking on your snatches. Add any other supplemental drills you like to get you prepared for more intense training.
*** you will see the athlete pause briefly in his initial power clean. This is not advised in my opinion, but is a habit he picked up along his travels. I like to see the athlete accelerate the bar from the floor to overhead in one smooth motion. It seems like he gets the bar into a high hang position, pauses, then jumps. It is common, and not necessarily wrong. But I believe you are cutting your power potential short by not accelerating through the middle of the movement. Other than that, this is a pretty sexy and effective drill.
